Mediation is a calmer, more collaborative way to move through divorce or family conflict. Instead of battling in court or getting lost in conflict, mediation gives you a structured, supportive space to make decisions together. It’s designed to reduce stress, save money, and keep you in control of the process.
What makes Shell’s mediation experience different is the blend of deep compassion and specialized expertise she brings into every session. She helps you understand the full picture, emotionally, financially, and practically, so you can make confident, informed decisions without feeling overwhelmed.
Divorce isn’t just a legal—it’s a financial transition, an emotional transition, and a parenting transition all happening at once.
As a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst (CDFA), Certified Divorce Coach, and Certified Co-Parenting Coach, I offer a mediation experience that is more informed, more supportive, and more future‑focused than traditional mediation alone.
Money is one of the biggest stressors in divorce.
With CDFA® training, I help you understand:
🌿How different settlements impact your long‑term stability
🌿Tax implications, cash flow, and future financial needs
🌿How to avoid costly mistakes
This means you’re making informed decisions that support your financial wellbeing long after the divorce is finalized
When children are involved, the emotional stakes rise—and so does the potential for conflict.
As a Certified Co‑Parenting Coach, I help you:
🌿 Communicate more effectively
🌿 Create parenting plans that are realistic, child‑centered, and sustainable
🌿 Build a foundation for healthier co‑parenting
This helps both parents stay focused on what matters most: their children's well-being.
Therefore, with both CDFA® insight and co‑parenting expertise, I help you protect your peace, your finances, and your children.
Divorce is already expensive; your mediation shouldn’t add to the stress. My services are intentionally designed to be budget‑friendly and accessible, with no retainers, no large upfront fees, and no long‑term financial commitments.
You simply pay as you go, session by session, so you stay in control of your costs and your pace.
This flexible model makes high‑quality divorce mediation, financial and co-parenting guidance more accessible, predictable, and transparent as you navigate this transition.

The time it takes to get a divorce can vary depending on factors such as the case's complexity and whether disputes need to be resolved. In general, a mediated divorce can take as little as a few months.
You’ll want to tell your spouse, of course, but it may be helpful to first gain an understanding of the mediation processes so that when you refer to a peaceful divorce, you can share something of what you’ve learned.
If communication problems keep you from talking candidly, consider using a mental health professional to help. Bear in mind that your spouse may need time to understand and accept your decision before being ready to take in much information or embark on a divorce process. Allowing that time lays a good foundation for mediation or collaboration.
In Connecticut mediation, service is typically waived, meaning neither party will be served with court papers.
As a mediator and co-parenting coach, I am trained to help divorcing couples recognize and create parenting plans that serve the children's best interests. We keep the children front of mind so their needs are fully explored and well represented. I also help parents build healthy communication and develop and implement parenting plans that can be put into place peacefully and effectively.
Divorcing couples rarely get along, but that does not mean litigation is your only (or best) option. You can end your marriage without litigation if you have the same goal in mind: divorcing while minimizing the emotional and financial impact on your family and staying out of the courtroom. I am trained to help you focus on resolving the issues and not get sidetracked by the past.
The best time to meet with Shell is before you separate. I can help you create interim plans that fit your family and budget and address the challenges of transitioning out of your marriage.
Even if you have already separated or begun the litigation process you can still choose to pursue Mediation.
My goal is to keep the conversation balanced and give each person a voice. I do this by giving each person uninterrupted time to speak, helping people work through strong emotions, and creating space for creative, thoughtful problem-solving. No case is too complicated for mediation.
Absolutely not; my mediation services support all individuals and all parents navigating divorce, regardless of gender.
My role is to provide a neutral, judgment‑free space where every client can gain clarity, confidence, and a clear path forward.
If you’re navigating divorce or co‑parenting, you’re welcome here.
